Horse Adoption

Meet Chablis

Chablis is a 12 year-old grade/quarter horse mare who is now ready to find that special place to call home.  She is a stunning dun and stands around 15hds.

This lovely lady came into our care through our investigations department and is now in good body condition, up to date on vaccinations, dental and farrier care.

We believe that in the past she was primarily used as a broodmare and for that reason she is very green. She also appears to have had very limited handling as she is quite nervous and can be timid around new handlers and in new situations.

Currently we are working on establishing trust and building her confidence with ground work, daily handling. She is working well on the lunge under tack and we plan to back her soon.

Although Chablis is nervous at times she trys hard to please and is a very willing student. We feel this mare could have a bright future in any discipline with an experienced rider/handler who can help her reach her full potential.

She gets along well in a herd and prefers outdoor accommodations with access to a run in shelter. She is an easy keeper with no grain required. She does require front shoes at this time along with timely farrier care.

She is being adopted as un-started under saddle and as such she is not suited for beginner or novice equestrians.

Renegade is an approximately 12 yr old Quarter horse type grade mare who is now looking for that special place to call home! She stands 14.2 hds and is a solid bay. She is a rescue so no prior history is available.

Renegade has lovely ground manners and very social with people. She enjoys being groomed and fussed over. She lunges, crossties and trailers well. She gets along well in a mixed herd and is an easy keeper.

Renegade is green under saddle needs more miles and time to reach her full potential She has been schooled both western and English and could go either direction. Proper saddle fit is especially important with Renegade as a poorly fitting saddle can easily trigger un wanted behavior with her.

Renegade is up to date on vaccinations, worming and dental. She has been sound and healthy to date. She has received some chiropractic care to treat mild TMJ and now has normal movement in her jaw. Her vet feels this condition has been successfully resolved but she may require an occasional adjustment. She is currently on good quality hay and pasture with a hay balancer supplement.

Renegade is a super mare who should make an excellent pleasure/trail partner for an experienced rider. She is not currently suitable for a novice or beginner rider.

Please contact Jane McCamus at 705-645-6225 for more info on this lovely lady!
